MURAT SEYFI

Here I wanted to capture the essence of the hot climate and the kaleidoscope of blues from the sea and sky from the distillery in Cyprus to celebrate the first ever Gin made on the north of the island.

 

I was Inspired by Victorian botanical illustrations which are synonymous with gin and the similarities between the complex structure of gin and perfume; both so delicately and expertly balanced to create a feast for the senses. 

 

I worked with very talented Illustrator, Waiwai Hove, who brought her expertise in not only illustration but also botany to the project and helped me to realise my vision of a sculpture of ingredients.
